Adulticiding is controlling mosquitoes in their adult stage

May contain: person, human, shoe, clothing, footwear, apparel, pants, car, automobile, transportation, vehicle, police car, and truck

Adulticides are products that rapidly reduce adult mosquito populations. This can become necessary when larval control measures are insufficient or not feasible. Adulticiding may be initiated when there is evidence of significant populations of mosquitoes in a region, or if there is evidence of mosquito-borne disease transmission in our County.

May contain: truck, vehicle, transportation, and pickup truck

Spraying the adult flying stage of the mosquito is done when surveillance methods (traps, landing rate counts, inspections) verify that mosquito populations have reached a level to justify the spraying of aerosolized products to control adult mosquito populations.
