Yellow Fly Kits

Yellow Fly season in the Panhandle is challenging as yellow flies are most active during daylight hours and thrive off the habitats readily available in our area. When they bite, they bite hard, often leaving a painful, red, itchy spot in their wake. What can you do to help protect against yellow fly bites? Wear clothing that covers your skin, use repellents, or even set a yellow fly trap. We provide free yellow fly kits (sticky traps) for residents of South Walton (one per residence) April - June every year.

Yellow Fly Kit distribution by South Walton Mosquito District from April 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026, at 774 N. Co. Hwy 393.
