SOUTH WALTON COUNTY MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT
TRIM MEETING NO. 1
TENTATIVE MILLAGE RATE AND TENTATIVE BUDGET

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the South Walton County Mosquito Control District, an independent special district in Walton County, Florida, will conduct a public hearing to consider the District’s proposed millage rate and tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2026–2027.

The first substantive matter considered at the hearing will be the percentage, if any, by which the proposed millage rate exceeds the rolled-back rate and the specific purposes for which any increase in ad valorem tax revenue is proposed.

Members of the public will be given an opportunity to speak and ask questions before the Board takes action. The Board will consider the tentative millage rate before considering the tentative budget.

The tentative budget will be posted on the District’s official website at least two days before the hearing and will remain available as required by Florida law.

The hearing is open to the public and will be conducted pursuant to Chapters 189, 200, 286, and 388, Florida Statutes.
